For the 2024 annual meeting, we visited the place we were supposed to go in 2020: Budapest, Hungary.

Finally arriving in Budapest

For many of us it was our first time visiting Hungary. Our Hungarian member George Baráth put together an amazing program. During our stay we got to experience the multi-faceted city. Our long time president Jan Stekelenburg organised a new election, finding it time to take a step back. Much to his surprise, he himself was re-elected as president. This time, for life – an honour Jan proudly accepted.

Remembering Lothar

Our valued member from Germany, Lothar Kimm, was sorely missed. He was absent in Budapest, and sadly passed away shortly after. Lothar was an affable and charming man. He was a great listener, with a matching willingness to help. We will remember him at every coming meeting, recounting all the beautiful moments we were fortunate enough to share with him. Our condolences go out to the Kimm family.
